Your Next Challenge
The FP&A Analyst role will be responsible for providing detailed and accurate financial information across the Moneycorp Group to monitor performance, support decision making and reduce the financial risk to the business.
 
Key activities will include assisting with core FP&A tasks including revenue reporting, monthly variance analysis, forecasting and the medium-term plan and Executive reporting within the Group function. The role will also involve liaising with stakeholders and providing support to various business units.
 
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Assist the wider Group during the budgeting process, providing support to various business units with completion of templates and review Work with the business to prepare regular financial forecasts of both the P&L and balance sheet
Reporting
  • Support in the daily reporting of FIG and Group revenue
  • Preparation of financial reports for Group and regions, including Board and Exco, with commentary on trend analysis
  • Monitor the delivery of strategic objectives of the business, benchmarking against the original assumptions such as balanced scorecard reporting
Business Partnering and Strategic Analysis
  • Analysis and monitoring of key operational metrics including KPI reporting across the Group
  • Assist regional and support business units with reporting and analysis of operational performance
  • Adhoc analysis to support deep-dives into performance, for example cost analysis, client profitability, return on Treasury assets, recovery plan etc
Systems 
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness within FP&A reporting systems including data-loads from underlying source systems
  • Develop reporting outputs in Tableau and Vena (FP&A reporting system)
Collaboration
  • Collaborate with other members in the Group FP&A team to ensure workload is balanced and continued growth is supported across the team
  • Regular touch-points with business unit heads to ensure business unit is supported with timely, relevant and accurate financial information 
What We're Looking For
Knowledge and Experience: 
  • Previous experience in a large organisation, ideally in a Bank or Financial Services.
  • Business Performance Management and / or Financial Planning and Analysis experience
  • A good understanding of financial control and the required controls in a financial services environment
  • Reliable in running critical processes / keen on process improvement
Skills: 
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Ability to produce polished, concise presentations for Executive review
  • SQL/Tableau skills
  • Knowledge of Vena system (an advantage but not essential)
 Education: 
  • Part-qualified accountant (ideally CIMA or ACA)

  • Strong time management, committed to meeting deadlines and communicates well with others
  • Ability to work well in a team, with the confidence to challenge the views and thinking - asking ‘why?’ with a focus on improvement 
 
Please note: This is a is full-time, permanent position based in our London (Victoria) office. We operate a hybrid working model, with a minimum of 3 days per week based in office and the flexibility to work up to 2 days per week from home.
